114 MBBS Seats Approved at ANIIMS

ANIIMS has been approved for a total of:

114 MBBS seats for 2026-27

The official seat distribution is:

• 17 seats — All India Quota through MCC
• 97 seats — Andaman & Nicobar State Quota

Within the 97 State Quota seats, the official notice mentions:

• 10 EWS seats
• 87 Category seats

⚠️ The 17 All India Quota seats are filled through MCC counselling.

Candidates should not apply through the State portal for those AIQ seats.

Who Can Apply for the 97 State Quota Seats?

ANIIMS states that only:

NEET UG 2026-qualified candidates from Andaman & Nicobar Islands

can apply for the 97 State Quota MBBS seats, subject to the eligibility conditions in the 2026-27 prospectus.

Candidates should verify their State/category eligibility before submitting the application.

How to Apply

Eligible candidates should:

1. Open the Andaman & Nicobar Common College Admission Portal.
2. Select ANIIMS / MBBS admission.
3. Complete the 2026-27 application.
4. Enter NEET UG 2026 details carefully.
5. Select the applicable category.
6. Upload all required documents.
7. Complete the prescribed application process/payment.
8. Final-submit the application.
9. Download/save the submitted application.
10. Check the Provisional Merit List on 17 August at 11 AM.

Documents to Keep Ready

Candidates should keep applicable original and scanned documents ready, including:

• NEET UG 2026 Admit Card
• NEET UG 2026 Score Card
• Class 10 Certificate / Date of Birth proof
• Class 12 Marksheet and Certificate
• Andaman & Nicobar eligibility/residence documents
• Category certificate
• EWS certificate where applicable
• PwBD certificate where applicable

Important — MCC and ANIIMS State Counselling Are Separate

ANIIMS has 17 seats under All India Quota.

Those seats are handled through:

Medical Counselling Committee (MCC)

The other 97 seats are handled through the Andaman & Nicobar State Quota admission process.

Registering with MCC does not automatically register a candidate for ANIIMS State Quota counselling.

Eligible Andaman & Nicobar candidates interested in State Quota seats must complete the separate ANIIMS/CCAP application.

Merit List & Grievance

ANIIMS will publish the:

Provisional Merit List on 17 August 2026 at 11:00 AM

Candidates can submit appeals/grievances from:

17 August at 12 Noon

until:

19 August at 3:00 PM

Final Merit List will be displayed on 19 August at 5:00 PM

Round 1 Counselling

The first round of physical counselling/document verification is scheduled for:

The last date of joining after Round 1 is:

Important Deadline Warning

The official notice gives 16 August 2026 as the last date for application but does not specify a closing clock time.

HGE therefore recommends completing the application well before the final date rather than assuming the portal will remain open until midnight.
