Maharashtra CET Cell has started NEET UG 2026 CAP Round 1 registration for MBBS and BDS admissions. Online registration closes on 12 August 2026 at 11:59 PM, while fee payment and document upload close on 13 August at 11:59 PM.

The official Notice No. 03 is dated 5 August 2026 and contains the full Maharashtra MBBS/BDS CAP Round 1 schedule for the academic year 2026–27.
Courses Covered
This notice is only for Group A courses:
- MBBS
- BDS
This schedule must not be combined with Maharashtra AYUSH or Allied Health counselling. Group B and Group C schedules will be released separately.
Colleges Covered
Admissions will be conducted for applicable seats in:
- Government Medical Colleges
- Government Dental Colleges
- Government Aided Colleges
- Municipal Corporation Colleges
- Private Unaided Medical Colleges
- Private Dental Colleges
- Other institutions notified by the Government of Maharashtra
Admissions will be based on NEET UG 2026 merit, eligibility and document verification.

Separate Maharashtra Registration Is Mandatory
Candidates must complete Maharashtra State counselling registration separately.
Registration completed through:
- MCC All India Quota counselling
- Deemed University counselling
- Any other State counselling
does not register a candidate for Maharashtra State CAP counselling.
Who Can Register?
Candidates should register if they:
- Qualified NEET UG 2026
- Want MBBS admission through Maharashtra State counselling
- Want BDS admission through Maharashtra State counselling
- Meet the applicable State, category, domicile or institutional eligibility
- Can submit all required documents within the official schedule
Mere registration does not guarantee admission. Admission depends on eligibility, NEET merit, category claim, document verification, choice filling and seat availability.
Registration Is Complete Only After Fee Payment
⚠️ Filling the application form alone is not enough.
A candidate will be treated as registered only after successful payment of the applicable registration fee.
Candidates should save:

- Registration acknowledgement
- Uploaded-document confirmation
Document Upload Is Compulsory
Candidates must upload clear coloured scanned copies of all required original documents by:

Failure to upload a required document may result in:
- Loss of category claim
- Loss of reservation benefit
- Application rejection
- Cancellation of the form
- Exclusion from the admission process
Document Verification
Document verification will be conducted from:
7 August to 14 August 2026
Verification may be completed through:
- Online verification
- Scrutiny centre
- Physical verification, where officially required
Candidates choosing physical document verification must personally report with all original documents.
Proxy attendance is not permitted.
Merit List and Grievance Process
The registered-candidate list and provisional merit list will be published on:
15 August 2026

Grievances can be submitted from:
16 August to 17 August 2026
Every correction request must have valid supporting document proof. Requests without supporting documents will not be accepted.
Final Merit List and Seat Matrix
The following will be published on 18 August 2026:

- CAP Round 1 seat matrix
The seat matrix will show the available MBBS and BDS seats for the applicable colleges and quotas.
Candidates should use the final merit list and official seat matrix before preparing their college preferences.
Maharashtra MBBS/BDS Choice Filling
Online preference filling will be available from:
19 August to 22 August 2026, up to 5:30 PM
Candidates should:
- Check the official seat matrix.
- Verify college fees and quota.
- Check previous-year admission cutoffs.
- Arrange colleges in true preference order.
- Add sufficient choices.
- Review the complete list.
- Submit preferences before the deadline.
Do not add any college unless you are willing and financially prepared to join it if allotted.
CAP Round 1 Result and Reporting
The Maharashtra MBBS/BDS CAP Round 1 allotment result will be declared on:
23 August 2026
Allotted candidates must physically join the college between:
24 August and 28 August 2026, up to 5:30 PM
Candidates must carry:
- All original documents
- Allotment or selection letter
- Required admission forms
- Applicable college fees
- Fee Demand Draft, where required
Payment by cheque is permitted only on bank holidays. The cheque must be replaced with a Demand Draft on the next working day. Failure to replace it may lead to cancellation of admission.
Important Instructions for Reserved Categories
Candidates claiming a reservation category must select the correct category before submitting the application.
Required documents may include:
- Caste Certificate
- Caste Validity Certificate
- Non-Creamy Layer Certificate, wherever applicable
- EWS Certificate
- PwD Eligibility Certificate
- Other category-specific documents
EWS Candidates
The EWS certificate must:
- Be valid for academic year 2026–27
- Be issued in Maharashtra State Government format
- Follow the format given in the Information Brochure
Central Government EWS format will not be accepted for this Maharashtra counselling claim.
OBC and SEBC Caste Validity Extension
OBC and SEBC candidates have been allowed up to six months from the CAP registration date to submit the Caste Validity Certificate under the applicable Government Resolution.
However, failure to submit it within the extended period can lead to:
- Cancellation of admission
- Applicable seat-lapse penalty
PwD Candidates
PwD candidates must have claimed the PwD quota during NEET UG 2026 and must submit an eligibility certificate issued by an approved Medical Board listed in Maharashtra Notice No. 01.
Important NRI Instruction
🚨 NRI candidates must register through the Foreign Candidate Registration Portal before 11 August 2026 for eligibility verification.
After eligibility verification, the remaining CAP schedule will be the same as the general MBBS/BDS schedule.
NRI candidates are eligible only for the applicable 15% Institute Quota seats, according to merit and official rules.
