What Has NBEMS Announced?
NBEMS has opened a final and last opportunity for candidates and accredited hospitals to complete pending activities on the Online Portal for Joining and Registration (OPJR).
This applies to candidates admitted to:
- NBEMS Diploma courses
- Post-MBBS DNB courses
- 2025 admission session
⏰ Final Deadline:
10 August 2026, 11:55 PM IST
Who Is Affected?
This notice is important for:
- Candidates who have not submitted their Self-Appraisal
- Candidates whose Self-Appraisal is awaiting hospital verification
- Candidates whose joining status has not been updated
- Candidates admitted through a State Counselling Authority whose allotment details are not uploaded
- NBEMS-accredited hospitals with pending OPJR work
What Candidates Must Do
- Log in to the OPJR portal.
- Complete and submit the Self-Appraisal.
- Upload all prescribed documents correctly.
- Contact the allotted hospital.
- Confirm that the hospital has verified and approved the submission.
- Check whether the Provisional Registration Number has been generated.
What Hospitals Must Do
NBEMS-accredited hospitals must:
- Update the joining status of every allotted candidate.
- Mark candidates who did not report as Not Joined.
- Verify and approve submitted Self-Appraisals.
- Upload allotment data for candidates admitted through State counselling.
- Inform NBEMS if a seat remained vacant because no candidate was allotted.
What Happens If the Deadline Is Missed?
⚠️ Important Consequence: Candidates who do not submit the Self-Appraisal within the final timeline will not be registered as NBEMS trainees.
Such candidates:
- Will not receive a Provisional Registration Number.
- Will not be permitted to continue the NBEMS course.
- Cannot seek another extension.
- Cannot submit a later request, representation or grievance regarding the missed deadline.
Candidate Responsibility
It is the candidate’s responsibility to ensure that:
- The Self-Appraisal is submitted correctly.
- All required documents are uploaded.
- The allotted hospital verifies and approves the submission before the deadline.
Submitting the form alone is not enough if hospital verification remains pending.
Important Document Warning
Any false, fabricated, suppressed or misleading information may lead to:
- Immediate cancellation of candidature or registration
- Additional action by NBEMS
- Action against the institution where incorrect documents were approved
